I think that Snowball is a great program, it is very simple to use and it cuts down time tremendously in repetetive translations. I am currently working on a 10 page medical document listing all the possible side effects of various medications, there are a lot of repetitions and the auto-suggestions from Snowball has cut down the time probably by 40% while it builds a larger translation memory that I can use in other translations. Before this program I had purchased another program, huge cost and I have not been able to use it yet, it is complete, so they say, but very complicated and there is no technical support AND it is not compatible with newer operating systems, so it’s not even properly installed and no refunds!
Snowball is easy to use, it does not take up too much space on the computer and Eric has been great in answering my few questions and following up on it. So thank you, great work Eric!!
I hope people here in the East Coast get to know the program more because it is very useful!
